Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The scintillation associated with sporadic E (Es) was observed in the L1 ranging signal of the second Multi-functional Transport Satellite (MTSAT-2) in the summer of 2008 at Sugadaira Space Radio Observatory, the University of Electro-Communications (UEC). The research and the development of the aircraft navigation system using global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) is executing in the Electronic Navigation Research Institute. The evaluation of risk and the examination of reduction of the risk is also executing in this research. It is therefore necessary to evaluate scintillations of L1 signal associated with intense Es whether it can be one of risks insecuring the reliability of the aircraft navigation system. Initial analyses were conducted about the effects of the aircraft navigation system on Es using the 1Hz data of GEONET of the Geographical Survey Institute of the summer of 2008.
