Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we discuss the transient response of a tracking method which estimates the true value of position and velocity of a moving object such as an aircraft. By considering position and velocity as the measurement value, we construct a tracking method using a Kalman filter, which uses a constant velocity model with no uncertainty as the target model, to estimate the true value of the position and velocity. We also illustrate that the transient response performance of our method is better than that of a conventional Kalman filter using a constant velocity model with only position measurements which estimates a position and a velocity and a Kalman filter using a constant velocity model with only velocity measurements which estimates a velocity.
