Abstract(in English) We propose a technique to measure the amount of rainfall at each point of the leaky coaxial cable (LCX) by measuring the signal caused by rainfall which disturbs the surface wave mode of LCX. We derive the theory of the radiation condition with respect to the local change of slot gain of LCX, and confirm the decay of surface mode by numerical calculation.
