Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes all-digital up-conversion type transmitter that generate I- and Q-channel alternately in every cycle of each RF waveforms. The transmitter prevents degradation due to phase error caused by continuous control of a phase modulator. In addition, the transmitter employs digital up-conversion with XOR gate. This architecture can lower the operating clock of the delta-sigma modulator that is advantages in suppressing quantization noise due to noise shaping. A simulation showed that the proposed transmitter can be expected to achieve SNR more than 40 dB and EVM of 36 dB for 12.5 Mb/s 16QAM signal at 1 GHz.
