Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The MC/CDMA communication system has received much attention as one of the most promising systems for the future high-speed mobile communication because of its high frequency utilization efficiency and easy equalization of received data, suffered from only flat fading under multipath environments. But, when applying the MMSE signal detection, there occurs such a problem that it is very sensitive to channel estimation errors, causing severe performance degradation. The authors previously reported Reduced-Rank signal detection approach as a method to provide robustness against the channel estimation errors. These methods, however, have an issue of optimal parameter adjustment, and thus in this time we propose a projection method with no need of parameter optimization, where the robustness is achieved simply because the weight vector components in the orthogonal complement of the signal subspace are filtered out. We experimentally compare both methods in terms of robustness by computer simulations.
