Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An efficient way to design digital filters is to transform a prototype low-pass digital filter into low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and band-stop digital filters using digital spectral (frequency) transformations. Although the design theory itself is not new, it is difficult to find a systematic literature covering the detailed proofs of the 4-types of spectral transformations. The main purpose of this article is to provide a systematic way, especially for the students or beginners interested in digital filter design, to prove all types of the frequency transformations. This facilitates their further study along the line and enhances their understanding of the basic idea of digital spectral transformations.
