Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hybrid Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (Hybrid MANETs) are those with Gateways (GWs) that are interconnected with external networks. As a contribution to this field, we previously proposed an optimal gateway selection protocol based on data-type. This protocol ensures that critical information, determined by data-type, is delivered to a proper GW which is capable of handling the data and that is connected to a specially managed wired network. However, as a side effect of the GW selection, a traffic imbalance occurs which poses a problem for maintaining the QoS of the specialized information. In this paper, we study a congestion control scheme which uses WRED-based queue monitoring and congestion notification. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposal guarantees a high QoS for high-priority data, in addition to selecting the optimal GW according to data-type.
