Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We study a personal authentication using mannerism of lip motion in utterance. The biometrics method using mannerism of lip motion in utterance authenticates persons using lip shape (physical trait) and utterance pattern (behavioral trait). Hence, the method is robust, and easily change the registration data. Conventional methods use time differential coefficients of holizonal and vertical lip ranges, and their rate. However, these features cannot desclibe detailed lip motion because of extraction from whole lip. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed an authentication method using features concerned with shape and color. These features are extracted from devided lip region (cell). Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is effective in the actual system.
