Abstract(in English) We are being engaged in the research and development of the Active Optical Access System which realizes the extension of transmission distance and increasing of the number of subscribers. We have already proposed the architecture of optical switching unit (OSW) and an optical switch control procedure. In this paper, we describe the developed optical switch module which is a component of 1x128 optical switch and realizes 10Gbit/s throughput and 40km transmission. We also describe the evaluation of 10Gbit/s burst signal transmission with the OSW prototype system. We demonstrate that the switching operation works accurately.
