Abstract(in English) | The present paper reviews recent studies by the author and her co-authors about speech production and acquisition of Japanese and /or foreign languages, especially focusing on phonation and listener oriented speech. The following topics are discussed: 1) acquisition and teaching adequate phonation, 2) a preliminary study of sound perspective, 3) production of focus in Japanese and foreign languages, 5) dynamic characteristics of speakers individuality and "speech character", 6) speakers' individuality and "speech character" in the foreign language learning. |
