| 抄録(和) | しばしば日本人と西洋人のリズム感は異なっていると指摘されてきた。それを裏付ける実験データはなかったので、最近われわれが行った上の意見を裏付けるリズム知覚および産出に関する2つの実験結果を紹介する。最初は異なる長さの短音系列のグルーピング実験で、アメリカ人は西洋人には共通の知覚の原則に従ってグルーピングを行うが、日本人は必ずしも原則に従わなかった。次に、日本人ピアニストとヨーロッパのピアニストの演奏を比較したところ、異なったリズムで演奏をしていた。これらの実験データと日本語とヨーロッパの言語間のリズムの比較研究結果を対応させ、母語がリズム感へ強い影響を与えていることを示唆した。 |
| 抄録(英) | It has been often pointed out that the sense of rhythm of Japanese people is somewhat different from that of Western people. There have not been any empirical data supporting the above statement. First, our two empirical data on rhythm perception and production are introduced. The first study showed that perceptual grouping of short tone sequence with varying duration were different from Japanese people and American people. The second study showed that Japanese pianists and European pianists played in different rhythm. The observed differences in rhythm perception and production and considerations on the rhythmic structures of Japanese and European languages suggest that native language can have an great influence on rhythm perception and production. |
