Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this papaer, we proposed the video retrieval system using hand-drawing sketch as a query. It became possible to watch various videos, because of the proliferation of digital cameras and development of video-sharing websites. However, at the same time, it is necessary to search for the desired video among the accumulation videos. Our proposed system solves difficulty of setting a query and helps to search for videos. The proposed system estimates a region around a moving object using optical-flow and robust estimation and improves the precision of the moving object region by computing template matching. The system extracts two features (the relative position of edge and the trajectory) from this region. The user input a hand-drawing sketch that represent specific desired scenes by drawing the shape and the movement of the moving object as a query when he search a video that he wants. We implemented the experiment using the short videos collected from YouTube. Experiment results show that our proposed system is available to search the desired video.
