Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Field programmable gate array (FPGA) can reconfigure logic circuits after production, which is embedded into electric instruments. Recently, researchers and engineers who do not engage in the field of LSI have developed exclusive computer by FPGA as their researches. However, they need to face to overcome barriers in acquiring expert hardware knowledge and preparing design environments when they enter FPGA studies. In this report, we have developed a remote FPGA system combined with e-learning for smooth promotion of interdisciplinary research. This system provides FPGA design education, research and development, field tests by remote control, where users prepare only their own computers. This report describes the framework and reports the research activities using the system.
