File Diffusion Control on Super-seed Mode over P2P networks

Abstract(in English) Both copyright infringements and information leaks using P2P file sharing software are becoming big social issues. There are a lot of P2P file sharing software products among which BitTorrent is rising in popularity recently. Therefore our study pays attention to BitTorrent. To solve the file outflow issues, several studies to control the diffusion of the specific file have already been performed. However, there are few studies which target Super-seed Mode which is one of the most promising file distribution algorithms in BitTorrent. Therefore, we propose a method to interfere with file diffusion over P2P networks using Super-seed Mode. This proposed method uses a special node (control node) that is uncooperative with file diffusion. As a result of simulation experiment, we were able to estimate the effects of decreasing the diffusion speed of a target file quantitatively.
