Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, wireless LANs have been used widely. However, there are unfairness problems in wireless LANs. One of which is that a small number of stations (STAs) may obtain a large throughput while other STAs hardly get any bandwidth. This unfairness problem occurs between an upstream flow and a downstream flow because access point(AP) and STAs have the same transmission opportunity by CSMA/CA control. To improve these problems, we proposed a simple method combining the Deficit Round-Robin (DRR) queuing method and a dynamic contention window control in the AP. Also, we estimated channel occupancy by NAV on RTS/CTS. However, in this paper, channel occupancy is estimated by communication that does not use RTS/CTS. The proposed method acheived fairness in throughput per-station which have multiple UDP and TCP flows by computer simulation experiments.
