Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose the Web application framework CABER (Connected Applet as a Back-End serveR for client-side JavaScript). In the CABER framework, client-side JavaScript can use a Java Applet as a back-end server in the Web browser. We implemented a system based on the CABER framework by using LiveConnect for the communication between JavaScript and Java, and JNLP for the dynamic download of jar files from Web server. The effectiveness of the CABER framework is evaluated by implementing a Web application in which JavaScript uses a 3-D rendering Java program as a back-end server via CABER system.
