Abstract(in English) We have proposed a new concept of Variable Polarization Frequency Division Multiplexing(VPFDM)for a future attractive Ku broadband mobile satellite communications system. The notable characteristic of VPFDM is that a user earth station uses dual polarization simultaneously and does not track the polarization at all. As a result, due to the nature of polarization-tracking-free, cross-polarization interference will be surely entailed. In a VPFDM system, it is removed in the receiver. Since a station occupies dual polarization simultaneously, no harmful mutual interference between different stations will occur in principle. In addition, the mechanical polarization tracking is eliminated and this would yield a low-profile antenna. This report will introduce the VPFDM and detail the information on system verification via satellite experiments.
