Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Titanium oxide nanotubes draw attention as a negative electrode for a dye-sensitized solar cells(DSC). Anodization of titanium is a promising method for fabrication of a titanium oxide nanotube film. The application of anodic titanium oxide nanotubes to the negative electrode of a DSC requires direct formation of an anodic oxide nanotube film on a transparent conductive oxide layer and it is important to elucidate and control the anodization process of titanium. The electrolyte influences the anodization process of titanium. In this study, an ammonium fluoride based ethylene glycol solution was used as an electrolyte and the influence of water in the electrolyte on the anodization process was investigated. The growth rate and the shape of titanium oxide nanotubes depended strongly on a concentration of ammonium fluoride and water in the electrolyte. In addition, the anodization condition was optimized to form directly on a transparent conductive layer.
