Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fullerene molecule attracted attention from the view points of electronic and optical properties, depending on π-conjugated structure. However, fabrication method of C_<60> fine crystals, inner structure, and physical properties is not still revealed. The preparation of fullerene fine crystals with a uniform size and shape would permit the control of their specific electronic energy levels and the totally new properties. Thus, we have attempted this research, using reprecipitation method. By changing simply experimental conditions such as the selection of solvents, we have obtained various unexpected and unique shapes of C_<60> fine crystals and with surprisingly monodispersed size. In addition, we could fabricate hybridized C_<60> fine crystals by using the shape-controlled C_<60> fine crystals.
