Abstract(in English) | Recently, in order to reduce footprint of the transmitters and transponders, small form factor modules (TOSA, etc.) have been getting more and more attractive. We propose a very compact layout of a tunable transmitter monolithically integrated with a tunable laser and a Mach-Zehnder (MZ) modurator via a DC mirror. In this paper, penalty free 10 Gb/s - 80 km transmission of compact tunable transmitter has been successively demonstrated. |
