Abstract(in English) Two types of self bias control circuit with power detector are proposed for CMOS differential amplifiers and grounded common-emitter CMOS differential amplifiers, respectively. The two proposed circuits consist of power detector and bias feedback circuit, and they automatically control the bias condition of the amplifiers according to the input/output power level. As a result, they improve the saturation characteristics. The fabricated L-band amplifier with the proposed self base bias control circuits and L-band transmitter MMIC including the self bias controlled amplifiers achieve the P_<1dB> improvement.
