Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Support technologies, such as voice browsers or screen readers etc., usually depend on specific platforms, for example, operating systems (OSs) or browsers. We developed a voice reading system using the Web API "Voice Delivery System (vds)." The system can work without depending on the system environments such as OSs or browsers. Users simply input the URL of the site they want to read out into the system's input form in the browser to get a voice stream. The system also can display the corresponding texts to the voice stream in the browser. So it is a very user-friendly system.
