Software-Hardware Communication and Remote Call on a PC-FPGA Hybrid Cluster

Abstract(in English) Parallel processing with PC cluster and hardware acceleration with FPGA are useful technologies in a field of high performance computing. In this paper, we propose a PC-FPGA hybrid cluster which integrates PC cluster and FPGA based accelerators. Its software-hardware communication interface is implemented as an expansion of MPI(Message Passing Interface). In addition, remote hardware call from software and remote software call from hardware are considered as an expansion of RPC. Finally, some preliminary experiment results are shown.
