Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a design for handling three simultaneous information and entertainment services within a vehicular environment. Our design is around an Atom embedded processor from Intel, but it needs other commercial components because even though Atom has extensive signal processing features, it falls short on channel decoding by Viterbi or Turbo algorithms. So our proposed physical layer uses the Freescale 8156 multicores with on-chip accelerators for channel decoding, while Atom runs everything else, including the protocol stacks. We also provide a design for a multiservice radio frontend.
