Abstract(in English) This paper addresses the challenge of implementing the uplink physical layer of LTE and WiMAX standards on a hardware platform using a software-defined radio methodology. We chose the Freeescale MSC8156 multicore processor because of its ability to execute compute-heavy functions of Fourier transforms and soft-decision decoding. The availability of an off-the-shelf card with three processors enable the simultaneous execution of LTE and WiMAX physical layers within a compact platform.
