Abstract(in English) Spectrum sharing type cognitive radio system enables radio operations which share the same frequency bands by multiple radio systems under vacant frequency bands that are not assigned for use or not used temporally, by means of functions to sense radio environment, select appropriate frequency bands to operate according to their capability, and reconfigure equipments. This system not only improves frequency utilization efficiency, but also makes decisions on radio utilization by the equipments according to the environments. NICT has developed a prototype which autonomously executes a series of the required processes. This paper evaluates feasibility of the system by functional verifications and performance measurements at the cognitive radio evaluation environment we have constructed.
