Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) NICT has designed cognitive radio base station and terminal which can execute sensing from UHF band to 6GHz and reconfigure themselves according to the sensing result. It has been shown that the prototype system composed of those devices is feasible to operate on vacant frequency bands autonomously and cooperatively. It is necessary, however, that the terminal senses all potential communication frequency bands after its power on which requires several tens of seconds. In this paper, we describe specifications and behavior of the spectrum sharing type cognitive radio system with out-band pilot channel. With this system, the terminal is expected to immediately reconfigure its operational frequency and communication stacks according to those of the base station notified by the channel.
