Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In multi-hop wireless mesh network, hidden terminal is one of the major problems. It causes data packet collisions and significantly affects the network performance. In this paper, in order to avoid this hidden node problem, we consider a routing scheme and a media access control (MAC) protocol by using a sensing function utilized for cognitive radio to select a path from a source node to a destination node before accessing the medium. In the proposed method, high sensitive sensing device with low sensing level is utilized in both route selection and in the medium access control. By using computer simulations, we evaluate the throughput performance improvement of the proposed system with a suitable sensing level.
