Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses the possibilities of low power wireless broadband communication systems with wide area coverage. After the upcoming termination of terrestrial analog TV broadcasting service in July 2011, it is considered to use a part of newly vacant VHF band for "Customer Provided Mobile Communications". In this report, we propose a low power, wireless data transmission based on OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) in this band. According to the link budget analysis based on the extended Hata model, it will be possible to accomplish a high-rate data transmission with more than 10Mbps and 10^<-5> bit error rate by 0.1W transmission power with 1.7km maximum coverage. |
