Abstract(in English) Image super-resolution is achieved by some kind of restoration method for high-frequency components which are deteriorated through the image enlargement. It is known that the estimation methods using the given image itself are effective for the restoration, and we have proposed a method employing the codebook describing the relationships of low-high frequency image components which are derived from the given image. It is, however, unfavorable to apply those image-dependent methods into movies. In this report, an image-independent codebook incorporating local edge patterns of images is proposed, and the effectiveness is shown through some experiments.
