Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to realize a superior switching median filter, we propose a new detection method of the random-valued impulse noise in a color image. The present method firstly emphasizes color distances in CIELAB color space as preprocessing, and then detects the random-valued impulse noise by employing correlation information among RGB components and variance of the signal. Through the experiments, the effectiveness of the present method is illustrated.
