Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The advancement of information technology provides customers various ways to purchase products, and large number of customers are buying products online rather than buying them at brick-and-motor stores. In spite of that, customers are stimulated to purchase products at brick-and-motor stores through the use of QR code and digital cash. It is said that customers will be more encouraged to buy products at brick-and-motor stores by adapting new technologies, such as RFID and electronic device. In consequence, firing clerks and less jobs being required are resulting in less communication between customers and clerks. Communication between customers and clerks increases the chance of customers purchasing products, and enables customers to the choose most desired products. Thus, in order to improve the convenience of brick-and-motor stores, it is important to encourage clerks to have communication with customers. Although, there is a proper timing to wait on a customer, and there is a great chance of making customers feel uncomfortable as a result of wrong timing or way of service. In order to solve this problem, we aim to assist customers and brick-and-motor stores by detecting customers' "indecision" when purchasing products.
