Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Spectral subtraction (SS) is the effective method used to reduce the noise from the speech recorded in the noisy environment. However, there is a problem that the unpleasant residual noise called Musical tone is generated in the noise reduction signal. In this paper, we propose a new SS method to suppress the musical tone generation based on suitable parameters and the iteration. Objective experiments and subjective experiments were performed to evaluate the proposed method. In comparison with the conventional SS, the proposed SS could reduce the musical tone more effective than the conventional SS.
