Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In multi-hop cooperative communications, multiple relay stations are employed at each hop in order to enhance its transmission performance. The performance of multi-hop cooperative networks is well investigated by computer simulations. The transceivers for multi-hop cooperative networks using space-time block code is developed in order to evaluate the transmission performance in real propagation channels. In this paper, an experiment of multi-hop cooperative networks is conducted with these equipments. The transceivers are implemented on field programmable gate arrays, which performs real-time signal processing. Synchronization of timing and carrier frequency among wireless stations is established based on received signals. The transmission performance of cooperative communications is compared to the performance of non-cooperative multi-hop communications using either of relay station. The performance of all the relay schemes are measured quasi-simultaneously. The performance is evaluated in terms of the ratio of time durations in which the bit error ratio is below certain values.
