Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In optical WDM networks corresponding to various services, wavelength paths have various length of holding times according to their services. On the other hand, the usage of optical devices such as wavelength converters is considered to avoid the contention of wavelength. Long term connections occupy the network resources, such as wavelengths and converters, for a long time. Thus, it is desirable not to assign many resources for long term connections. In this paper, path set-up method considering the holding time of connections is proposed, managing autonomous and distributed database efficiently. It is shown that the proposed method improves call bolcking probability about 90% compared to the conventional approach by simulation experiment.
