Scattering of a Plane Wave from the End Face of a Three-Dimensional Disordered Waveguide System

Abstract(in English) A scattering problem of a plane wave from the end face of a three-dimensional disordered waveguide system is treated by the perturbation method and the far scattered field is analytically derived. The incident plane waves of a TE and a TM type are assumed. Numerical examples are shown and the dependence of the far field on the polarization of the incident wave and the arrangement of cores is discussed. The far field is expressed as the Fourier transform of the phase of the incident wave on the cross sections of cores and does not almost depend on the polarizaton of the incident wave.
