Abstract(in English) Fast all-optical processing is expected for high-speed photonic network. In photonic label routers, recognition of optical labels is one of the key functions. We propose a passive waveguide device to identify BPSK labels the device consists of cascaded asymmetric X-junction couplers although the number of labels identified with this device is equal to the bit number, identification with high scalability can be expected. The device was theoretically analyzed and numerically confirmed by FD-BPM.
