Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Electromagnetic scattering problems of the polygonal cylinders can be analyzed with high degree of accuracy by the point matching method. In our method, the whole physical space is divided into various sub-domains and the electromagnetic fields can be expanded by using the modes which satisfy the wave equations in the local coordinate systems. In this paper, we discuss the method to optimize the field decomposition for which the truncation mode number becomes the samllest under the desired digits of accuracy.
