Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Semiconductor ring lasers have been attracted much attention as important devices for all optical signal processing. However, it is difficult to predict and control the lasing direction and state of semiconductor ring lasers. In this work, we have studied semiconductor ring laser containing semiconductor optical isolator to realize unidirectional lasing. We have found that unidirectional lasing can be realized by introducing semiconductor optical isolator having optical isolation of 3dB.
