Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical coupling between fiber-array and memory element for optical random access memory (RAM) is important for future dense integration. One way is to decrease the adjacent element distance in the integrated device. With decreasing the adjacent element distance, optical coupling between regular fiber-array and RAM elements has been the problem. To solve this problem, we have considered to insert a two-lenses system in between the fiber-array and the RAM elements. As a fundamental research, we inserted a two-lenses system to triple the beam pitch to match the element distande to the regular fiber array pitch. As a result, we could obtain tripled beam-pitch successfully by using the two-lenses system.
