Abstract(in English) High-quality (Q) factor photonic-crystal nanocavities are currently hte focus of much interest because they can strongly confine photons in a tiny space. Nanocavities with Q factor of 3.5 million, and corresponding photon lifetime of 3 ns has been achieved. Recently, we have proposed and demonstrated the concept of dynamic Q factor control for arbitrary control of photons. Here, we realized the time domain measurement of the pulse capture and release operations by the dynamic control of Q factor.
