Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper investigates an interference mitigation scheme for direct sequence ultra-wideband(DS-UWB)wireless communication systems based on wavelet packet-based waveform design. Since UWB signals use very wide frequency spectrum, it is necessary to equip with an appropriate interference mitigation scheme to coexist with conventional narrowband communication systems. In this paper, OFDM(orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing)signal is considered as a conventional narrowband signal. In the proposed scheme, the UWB terminal detects the OFDM signal by wavelet packet signal decomposition. The transmitting UWB waveform is generated by synthesizing the wavelet packet coefficients without that corresponds to the frequency band which may be occupied by the OFDM signal. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme effectively mitigate the interference from the UWB signal to the existing OFDM signal.
