Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In usual color-to-monochrome transformation, lightness components of each pixel are used for gray-level. In this transformation, however, colors having same lightness are converted to identical gray-level even though those have different hue or chroma. To cope with this problem, in recent years, several investigations about color-to-monochrome transformation considering differences of colors have been carried out. In this report, we propose the color-to-monochrome transformation considering not only differences of colors but also grayscale preservation. The grayscale preservation stands for the correspondence of an achromatic color's gray-level with its lightness component.
