Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As one of 3D map generation methods, there is a method to reproduce building facades, which are utilized as building textures, from scenes captured with an in-vehicle camera. to compose a full view of the building which cannot be captured by one frame, a panoramic image generation is needed. this papaer presents a method to compose a panoramic image automatically from urban scenes captured with an in-vehicle camera. Position adjustment between an images sequence is performed by a pattern matching and a majority rele. In the proposed method, the seams between images are selected as gaps which have small difference of the intensities. the seam selection is formalized as an energy minimization problem which can be solved by the graph-cut algorithm.
