Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to investigate the basis of pupil reaction that reflects the psychological state of human, and to consider applying it to the Safe Driving Support System. The pupil reaction during the binocular rivalry, one of the important visual feature, was measured. In the experiment, two directional stripes was used as stimuli. As a result of the analysis, we found that the pupil diameter increased relating to the perceptual switch. Compared with past studies, the pupil reaction during binocular rivalry have similarity with that of ambiguous perception, It suggests that binocular rivalry and ambiguous perception have something in common. This can be a key consideration for proper attention during driving.
