Abstract(in English) We have proposed novel metal-embedded semiconductor pillar structures including a single quantum dot for quantum information applications. The structures are fabricated and their optical properties are investigated from a viewpoint of single photon purity (suppression of multi-photon emission) and photon extraction efficiency. In this work, we have confirmed high-purity single photon emission even under non-resonant excitation from the metal-embedded structures, and improved photon extraction efficiency is also achieved.
