Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Japan, terrestrial analogue TV broadcasting service will be completely digitized on July 24th, 2011. Regarding the frequency allocation after the completion of digitization, 32.5 MHz band between 170 MHz and 202.5 MHz is planned to be used for broadband wireless system for public safety ("public broadband system"), especially for video image transmission in real time. Recently policy report regarding general technical conditions of the public broadband system was published by the ICT Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. Detailed specifications of the wireless transmission scheme need to be determined in order to maximize the service quality under the conditions of the allocated frequency band use. This paper discusses efficient pilot symbol allocation, or efficient pilot symbol intervals in the frequency domain as well as time domain, in the OFDMA uplink frame of the public broadband system using 200MHz band.
