Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) BWPSR (Bi-directional Wavelength Path Switched Ring) is an efficient protection scheme from the viewpoint of wavelength utilization. We proposed DA-BWPSR (Dynamic Assigned BWPSR) to improve wavelength utilization. The number of protection wavelengths needed for failure recovery is equivalent to the number of failed working paths. In this paper, we estimate the effectiveness of DA-BWPSR by computer simulations. And we propose the configuration of a Colorless ROADM and the sequence of failure recovery for BWPSR, and we also report the experimental result of the BWPSR sequence using Colorless ROADMs.
