Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we describe impact of optical phase deference between adjacent TDM channels, which is caused by OTDM multiplexer, in transmission of DPSK signal. Phase deference is controlled by means of monitor based on 1-bit delay interferometer. Transmission experiments show that nonlinear impairment is dependent on phase deference, and the phase control technique is effective for stabilization of transmission characteristics. We also report numerical calculation results to elucidate that IFWM-induced amplitude noise contributes to fluctuation of transmission characteristics.
