Abstract(in English) Reduction of amplitude fluctuation using optical fiber parametric amplifier was investigated. The amplitude fluctuation of optical signals was reduced by using optical limiting amplification of optical fiber parametric amplifier using highly nonlinear fiber. We confirmed the level equalization effect against an amplitude fluctuated optical data signal and optical packet-like signal by a numerical simulation and experimental demonstration. Furthermore an effective amplitude equalization using an idler light rejecting filter, and a polarization insensitive amplitude level equalization using two-stage optical limiting amplifier were demonstrated.
